At night we used to like to watch a couple episodes of Futurama in bed before going to sleep.

Since O refuses to sleep in her room she has gotten to where she also enjoys a few episodes before sleep. As she’s gotten older I’ve felt guilty about it because she recognizes the music and characters and it is often not kid appropriate in theme and language. The last thing I want is for her to go to school in a few years and tell some kid to “bite my shiny metal ass”.

Recently we have switched to Jimmy Neutron instead. Fortunately she (and us) likes it and doesn’t seem to miss Futurama. Phew.

Incidentally, the school principal in Jimmy Neutron reminds me of Dean Pelton on Community.
